About Wild Woman Quilts

Wild Woman Quilts began with one woman's passion for quilting---mine.  It
evolved into a dream of offering high-quality quilting services to clients who
love quilts as much as we do.  M
y primary goal is to assist quilters in
transforming their quilt tops into beautiful, lasting heirlooms or fun current
works of art.  Regardless of your quilting goals, I also want to inspire the "wild
woman" in every woman whose path we cross.

My personal journey began many years ago when a small-town girl from
Northwest Florida began sewing for her family.  Over the years, I've created
tailored men's suits, wedding gowns, and of course, quilts.  I'm experienced in
machine embroidery as well.  Since the early 1990's I've quilted almost
exclusively, knowing that I someday wanted to do it full time
and professionally.

Besides caring for women as a nurse-midwife, quilting is my "other" passion in
life.  Finally, this year, I decided it was time to stop dreaming about it and start
living it.

In December of 2010,
I took delivery of "Ophelia"; my Gammill® Optimum
longarm quilting machine that uses state-of-the-art Statler Stitcher®
technology.  This incredible high-quality machine uses a computer to guide
the machine for precise, consistent quilting.

With m
y knowledge and skills and with Ophelia's help, I offer a variety of
services, from basting for the hand quilter to custom quilting. Located in North
Central Florida, I bring to m
y clients the benefit of over 30 years of quilting
experience.  For more information about services, as well as prices, see t
he
Services page.

(As an aside, Ophelia is named after my Tennessee grandmother, a quilter
also.)

If you want to talk to m
e, please contact me via the Contact Us page.  I will get
back with you in a timely fashion.  This is m
y way of protecting myself from
spam and why I do not publish our email address on this site.  If you have a
deadline for a quilt, book your planning appointment as soon as possible.  M
y
waiting list is growing.

If you're just stopping by, I
'd love to hear from you.  In the interim, happy
quilting and don't forget to howl at the moon.  Life is short.
